23 September Sublime Music Presents
The Clientele + Threewheeler + Pete & The Pirates Music from Keith Talent @ The Sussex Arts Club, Tuesday 13th September, 8pm- 12pm £7 Available on the door and from Rounder Records + Resident records

Sublime Music Presents the first Brighton gig for one of the most talked about acts of the indie /nu-folk movement. Originally from Hampshire, The Clientele first grabbed everybody's attention back in 2003 with their debut album 'The Velvet Hour'. Following some rave reviews, including an 8/10 in NME, the band rapidly became darlings of the US and UK indie scene.

Having signed to Merge Records in the states (Home to The Arcade Fire, Lambchop and Magnetic Fields) the band now return to the UK for a European tour in promotion of their second LP 'Strange Geometry' (release date: 05/09/05) www.theclientele.co.uk
See below for press:
'Aggressively, gratuitously lovely, modernizing the chambery charms of Loves Forever Changes, the Zombies and Galaxie 500' Spin USA
'surely one of the most magical pop albums of 2003.' 4/5 Uncut
'Londoners' hazy debut of tripped-out, folk perfection' 8/10 NME
Threewheeler have built up a considerable following over recent years due to their sophisticated acoustic pop and habit for performing in interesting venues. Having been voted as 'Brighton Band of the Year 2004' by listeners to Juice FM the band have recently signed to Lime Records and big things are expected. www.threewheeler.co.uk
Pete & The Pirates return to Brighton for a one off show. Having played in the past with various members of Sublime favourites Silent Moves and Astra; Pete and his merry band of cutlass swinging outlaws have drawn comparisons with The Flaming Lips, Arcade Fire and Elbow. With a single out later in the year this is one not to miss. www.peteandthepirates.co.uk

23 October Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Multi award winning musical - an everyday tale of gummi bears, flying tomatoes, a botched penectomy and the Platonic notion that sex is the human effort to reconnect two halves of original whole.
