I am a documentary film director, currently working with Pier Productions (producers of "Home Planet" and "Making History" for BBC Radio 4 amongst many other programmes) in Brighton. We have had very strong interest from a terrestrial broadcaster for a series idea called 'B&B', which proposes to swap two people who do similar jobs or share similar interests, from Blackpool and Brighton respectively. This is a serious series idea, exploring the similarities and differences between the north and south of Britain today and is in no way intended to be exploitative, or 'tabloid' TV.

We are looking for real characters with strong opinions and ideals; people who are prepared to speak their minds and have something to say on a whole range of issues in contemporary Britain. We were hoping that someone - ideally a city councillor from the Green Party - may be willing to discuss the possibility of being involved in this series. If we went ahead, the commitment would mean going up to Blackpool for three days and having a Blackpool councillor/party activist (from a different Political Party) come down to Brighton.

I would be extremely grateful if you may be able to suggest anyone who might be interested in participating; I am available most of the week to meet at their convenience.

With best intentions and very kind regards
David Ward
