Brighton &Hove Volunteer Bureau is a project of Brighton &Hove Community Initiatives (BHCI) and is currently based at 28/29 Western Road Hove.
The Steering Group is made up of representatives of the city's diverse communities. Until recently the Volunteer Bureau had representation from a Trustee of Spectrum but due to pressure of work this Trustee had to stand down. We are now seeking to appoint a representative on the Steering Group representing the Lesbian' Gay Bisexual and Transgender Community in Brighton &Hove.
The rationale for the Brighton &Hove Volunteer Bureau Steering Group is to advise the Bureau Manager in developing the Volunteer Bureau as a major support agency to the Community and Voluntary Sector in Brighton and Hove' to develop and share best practice in relation to the recruitment' support' placement and retention of volunteers throughout the Community and Voluntary Sector in Brighton and Hove and to monitor progress on the development of the Volunteer Bureau.
The Steering Group meets for two hours at the Volunteer Bureau premises every other month.
