Parade
Begins on the Market Place at 12pm
This will be our second Pride in Belper Strutt! Our first, in 2019, exceeded all expectations. We had absolutely no idea what to expect, and then the crowds started to swell in the Market Place. As the parade snaked down King Street and back up again, it was estimated that there were around 2,000 people walking in support of our values.
We will again gather in the Market Place from about 11am in good time for the parade to start at 12 noon. We will walk down King Street, turn left along Strutt Street and, at the end, turn right down New Road. On reaching Campbell Street we will turn right along there and then, at the end, we will turn right back up King Street to the Memorial Gardens where we will gather for a special afternoon.
The parade will be led by Beatwirks Samba Reggae Band and all you need to do is to be yourself and come join the fun.

At around 2pm there will be a performance from the Street Beats Samba Band which features 6 Primary Schools - a project brought together by Fleet Arts and Chris Lewis-Jones. After a break, Belper Boom will play a short set.
