Northern Pride 2010 (Newcastle)
Building on the success of last year, we’ve had a quiet word with the weathermen and we can reveal Northern Pride returns on 17th July 2010.
Kicking off with a parade through Newcastle upon Tyne and then onto the beautiful Leazes Park for a good old knees up. We work hard to ensure that there’s something for everyone with music and entertainment over several stages, stalls, kids entertainment, sports and plenty to eat and drink.
New plans this year include a third stage, to bring a more acoustic/mellow flavour, more stalls from organisations across the UK, and of course an even bigger and more diverse crowd.
James Anderson, Community Involvement Director says,“I’m so excited about 2010, we’ve already been talking to loads of artists but you’ll have to wait just a little longer to find out who’ll be on that main stage!
“Organising an event of this size and nature takes an awful lot of time and planning - everyone involved is a volunteer. We really want the communities to get involved so let us know what you’d like to see and do.”
